September 12, Monday Night Football in San Francisco, the Rams will begin a new NFL regular season. The first in Los Angeles in 21 years.

With so much excitement in the city of LA, can the Rams actually win games and return to a powerhouse in the NFL.

In a beginning built for Hollywood, the Rams received the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s past draft. The team chose to take 6’4″ quarterback Jared Goff out of California.

After struggling in his first preseason, many believe Goff may not be ready to start the season as the starting quarterback.

Goff went 22 of 49, throwing for 232 yards with two touchdowns, two interceptions and three fumbles.

He came off the bench for the first three games of the preseason before starting the finale.

Heading into the season it still looks as if 28-year old Case Keenum will be the Rams starter on opening night.

The Rams open the season third in terms of strength of schedule, behind the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons.

If last season is any indication, the Rams look to be in good shape heading into this year.

Last season, the Rams finished third in the NFC West, only behind the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals.

Much to the delight of their fans, the Rams played some of the best teams in the league pretty well.

LA, then St. Louis, took both meetings against the Seattle Seahawks last season and even stole a game in Arizona against the Cardinals. The Cardinals only lost two games at home during the entire regular season.

The Rams ended the season on a high note winning three of their final four games.

In the whirlwind that is Los Angeles, the Rams look primed for a competitive first season in their new home.
